:iconglsymbol-plz:Book of Oa: Proclamations of the Guardians of the Universe: Passage 16:iconglsymbol-plz:

You all know, I suppose. GL:TAS is being cancelled. So many things left undone. The Indigo Tribe, the Black Lanterns, Scar's future plans, Ganthet and Sayd's relationship, Aya's death, Razor becoming a blue lantern. So much potential, all to go to waste.

I confess myself immensely disappointed in this regard. It was a good show, and along with Young Justice, two shows that will no longer grace the television screens of DC lovers everywhere.
Also I'm going to miss Appa, the foul-tempered, loveable bastard

It's a shame, I watched the finale yesterday, so many ideas they could have explored, Scar, Larfleeze, the Black Lantern corps, Blue Lantern Razer.

Such a waste, shame on you Cartoon Network!!

Not to mention Sinestro revealing he's a yellow lantern and and attacking the Green Lantern Corps with his own Corps. Here's an interesting idea they could have tried, Fatality secretly hunting down the Green Lanterns.

It seems like most quality shows don't last. I think GLAS and YJ are targeted more towards an audience that doesn't really buy a lot of toys. A lot of people say its because the merchandise isn't being sold but how does that effect shows like Adventure Time and the Regular Show? I highly doubt these shows have mountains of products that keep the show alive,

Their replacements are Teen Titans: Go (a stupid looking looking show aimed at the lowest common denominator as far as story depth and animation) and Beware the Batman (a show that may not focus on cool criminals but detective work which may be good stories but hard for toy buying kids to follow). I don't think either of these series will last a second season.

Well this news sucks. These two and Clone Wars, guess my Saturday mornings are open again.

What's even worse is that they only canceled it to make room for a new Batman show.

And even worse? The show "Beware the Batman" sounds TERRIBLE.

i think both were too rushed along and not enough story development - they coulda hit something if they were more like a friday night lineup for the tween crowd and partnered them off w/ heroic female devoted shows as well for a true mixup but woulda shoulda coulda , its prolly the toy companies faults any ways want to exploit more of the wacky kids toys for the chibi teen titans

Also it would've been nice to see Sinestro finally go off the top and found the Sinestro Corps. And to see John Stewart. But I still felt pretty satisfied.

There is still hope for the shows, though. The writers themselves said they intentionally left them open ended in case another network wants to pick up where it left off. As much as we're out of our favorite cartoons, they're creativity was cut short as well. If someone else is smart enough to pick back up these successful shows, we might see the next seasons after all.

The fall of Sinestro...now that would have been a damn cool story.

AHhh!!! I don't want EITHER of them to end. >< Why does everything GL just do badly? The movie AND the show were both great, and neither were given a proper chance. I think it sucks that it had great ratings, but because some fans didn't like it, and some execs thought it was time to cancel it... Same with Young Justice! YJ had amazing ratings one of the best, and SO many dedicated fans, yet they're cancelling it for Teen Titans GO! Which is a terrible mock of a show compared to the original series. -_-" This crap is seriously pissing me off! I WANT MORE GL:TAS AND YOUNG JUSTICE! It is the BEST and only reason I watch Cartoon Network anymore... Nothing else is worth it.

Actually, neither show got decent ratings once Cartoon Network pulled them off the friday night lineup.

When all shows (Including Thundercats and Clone Wars) were aired on Friday Nights, they all did really well. Clone Wars itself routinely pulled in 3 million viewers, so it was a monster.

Once Cartoon Network cancelled the friday night lineup and replaced it with that stupid space ghost hosted repeat show, and moved everything else exclusively to saturday mornings (Which relies only on small kids), that's when everything started falling apart.
Now, only Ben 10 seems to carry enough ratings to sell toys to justify it to the execs.

Truth is, the only thing that's spared Clone Wars, is the disney deal. Pretty sure it would have been cancelled too, otherwise.

I just don't understand the decision to take them off friday nights, to begin with. That's when the adult fans were active (Most will either DVR a saturday morning show, or watch it online through pirated channels, neither methods support ratings), and there's really nothing else for kids to watch on friday nights, either.
